Our 19 momme weight (mm) silk is 100% grade A mulberry silk. There is no finer silk produced.
In this set you receive:
- One flat sheet
- One fitted sheet (elastic all the way around the base)
- Two pillowcases
19 momme weight silk is a heavy silk. It's very durable and yet it lays very light on your body. However, 19mm silk is warm and nearly the perfect sheet.
I typically recommend 19mm silk to everybody.
Our silk is woven in the charmeuse weave. Also called the satin weave. This weave causes one side to be glossy on one side and matte on the other. When you dream of silk, this is the weave that you are thinking of.
These sheets have seams on them. The silk is woven on 140cm looms. That means panels of silk need to be sewn together to cover our mattresses. However, you will not feel these seams at all, plus they are hardly noticeable to your eye either. (But they are very strong).
