Our 19mm (momme) weight silk is grade "A" 100% mulberry silk. This is the purest and finest cultivated silk you can find.
In this set you receive:
- One flat sheet
- One fitted sheet (elastic all the way around the base)
- Two pillowcases
19 momme weight silk is a heavy silk. It's very durable and yet it lays very light on your body. Just because it's like does not means it's cold. It will keep in at the perfect temperature all night long.
I highly recommend 19mm silk to every single customer.
All of our silk uses the charmeuse weave, the traditional weave for silk fabric. This weave causes one side to be glossy on one side and matte on the other. When you dream of silk, this is the weave that you are thinking of.
These sheets have seams on them. The strong silk threads are woven on looms which are 140cm wide. That means panels of silk need to be sewn together to cover our mattresses. These seams are specially made to be very strong while not being able to be felt at all. Plus they are not easily noticed to the naked eye.
