Our heaviest silk is the 25 momme weight silk. It's extremely rare to find silk offered at this momme weight for bedding. It's the highest you can comfortably go. And of course, it's 100% pure grade "A" mulberry silk.
Here is what you receive in this set:
- One flat sheet
- One fitted sheet (elastic all the way around the base)
- Two pillowcases
You can easily tell the distinction of the 25mm silk compared to the other weights we carry. It uses a lot of silk and it's very luxurious. With all this silk packed into the fabric, it's thicker and that means it will not drape as well as the 22 or the 19mm silk sheets do. It's thicker nature makes it stiffer compared to the 19.
Just because it's a stiffer sheet does not means it's any less of a luxury feeling. It is a more durable sheet and relative to the other weights, it should last a little longer.
I typically only recommend the 25mm silk to people that live in a very cold climate. It's a very warm sheet and I've had customers who live in way north Canada use is very successfully.
There are seams in these sheets. All of our seams are very durable and they will not fall apart. You will also not notice any of these seems during your sleep, but you can see them.
