22 momme weight silk is a very heavy silk. It's very rare to find and like all of our silk, it's grade "A" 100% mulberry silk.
In this set you receive:
- One flat sheet
- One fitted sheet (elastic all the way around the base)
- Two pillowcases
Personally, I love the 22mm silk. There is a big difference in the feel of the silk compared to 19mm silk. It drapes very well, not as well as the 19, but considering the amount of extra silk is has, it's pretty nice.
At this time, we can only offer a few colors with the 22mm silk. I hope to slowly grow the color selection to include claret, cream gold, and navy blue.
22mm silk uses a lot more silk thread than the 19mm silk. So relative to the 19mm silk, this is warmer and a little more durable too. However, this does not mean that the 19mm silk is not durable, the difference is not something very substantial.
If you like to have a heavier sheet and you run cold at night when you sleep, I highly recommend the 22 momme weight silk.
All of the sheet sets in the 22 weight have seams in them. Each seam is very durable and you'll never notice they are there. Here is a picture of the seam so you can see what it looks like.
If you want something with more luxury and substance compared to 19mm silk, then the 22 weight will be just the thing.
