The 25 momme weight silk is the heaviest silk by far. This is a rare momme weight of silk to find and especially rare to find it for bedding. It's the highest you can comfortably go. And of course, it's 100% pure grade "A" mulberry silk.
Here is what you receive in this set:
- One flat sheet
- One fitted sheet (elastic all the way around the base)
- Two pillowcases
You can easily tell the distinction of the 25mm silk compared to the other weights we carry. There is an abundance of silk in this fabric and it's very luxurious. Because of all the silk, you are going to lose some of the draping ability compared to the 22 and 19mm silk. Compared to the 19, it's a stiffer feeling sheet, but still very soft.
Just because it's a stiffer sheet does not means it's any less of a luxury feeling. It's more durable compared to the other weights and you can expect it to last a little longer because of that.
I typically only recommend the 25mm silk to people that live in a very cold climate. They are very warm and can even keep you perfectly warm in the far reaches of Canada.
There are seams in these sheets. All of our seams are very durable and they will not fall apart. While you can see these seams, you will not feel them during your sleep.
