When you are going to buy some new bedding or even a new mattress, typically, you have to stick with what is available in the standard sizes. However if you can find a retailer who is capable of making you custom bedding items then you have so many more options.
Size isn't the only thing you can customize when it comes to bedding, design can also be tweaked to your taste, just read these common customizations to get it just like you want.
Surprisingly enough, custom mattresses are not really as big as you might think. The reason for this is finding a manufacturer that can do this is hard. But things that many can do for you are using different fiber combinations like bamboo or organic cottons. Even small things like adding a custom tag on it the mattress. One person actually had the phrase, "where the magic happens," printed on their custom label.
Next is the bedding, if you are looking for a particular color then you can get it made to match just what you want. This is common for silk duvet covers. You can even do color combinations to make it more unique and more you. One color on top, one on the bottom is great.
Other options with duvets that people do include adding ties for ease... adding four or five sets (in the corners) will help keep the comforter in the middle for sliding or twisting.
Finally, the last and the biggest of the customizations is with size. Mattresses come standard in all sorts of sizes now and depths. This usually means that your bedding has to have some tweaks to it. One of the worst situations is finding the perfect type of bedding and then not being able to get it because they can make it fit your mattress.
